I was really excited to hear about Lucy Black’s role in the new ‘Spartacus’ series, and I recently read an interview with her about her time on ‘Ahsoka.’ She played Klothow, a Nightsister who helped both Grand Admiral Thrawn and Morgan Elsbeth when they faced off against Ahsoka. For its second season, Disney Channel gave ‘American Dragon: Jake Long’ a new look. The artists moved away from the detailed, outlined style of the first season to a flatter, more modern design. Okay, so when they announced they were bringing back that classic ’80s franchise with a totally female cast, the internet exploded. It was seriously brutal. A lot of fans felt like it was just a cheap trick, that changing the team to all women didn’t honor what made the original so great. The first trailer actually became famous for being one of the most disliked things ever on YouTube – the comments were just full of negativity. It got really nasty, honestly, with the actresses and director Paul Feig getting relentlessly harassed by people who felt like it was a deliberate attempt to alienate the original fans.
