I recently checked out General Public, the art curation company founded by Portia de Rossi, and I’m really impressed with her vision. She’s tackling the often intimidating world of art collecting by making high-quality reproductions accessible to everyone. Forget stuffy galleries – she’s using technology to bring beautiful art, both from well-known and up-and-coming artists, directly into your home. It’s a fantastic idea that truly levels the playing field, breaking down the barriers that usually separate serious collectors from the rest of us. She’s successfully made it possible for anyone to create their own personal gallery!

The game features a Narrator who tries to lead the player through a typical office setting, but gets visibly confused and annoyed whenever the player ignores his directions. This creates a power struggle between the Narrator, who’s telling the story, and the player, who’s in control. The Narrator’s reactions constantly make you think about how much real choice you actually have in a game with a set path.

He’s known for his distinctive visual style, which begins with detailed drawings for every shot of his films. These elaborate and imaginative storyboards create the dreamlike feel of movies like ‘Brazil’ and ’12 Monkeys’. Because of his background as an artist, he can clearly explain even the most complex fantasy scenes to his camera crew.

An early, removed scene from this horror movie clearly showed how the strange, dangerous force arrived. It featured scientists at the ‘Arrowhead Project’ successfully opening a doorway to another world, but a lightning strike caused something to go wrong. This scene proved that the mist is actually a gateway to a different dimension filled with terrifying, otherworldly creatures. The final version of the movie intentionally left this explanation unclear, choosing instead to focus on the stories of the people trapped inside the supermarket.

Ridley Scott significantly improved this historical film by adding almost fifty minutes of footage, primarily to address problems with the original movie’s rhythm. These new scenes provide a deeper look at the political intrigue in Jerusalem and explain Sibylla’s actions concerning her son. Most viewers consider this longer version a masterpiece, turning the story into a powerful and understandable tragedy. The extra time allows for a more thorough exploration of both the religious clashes and Balian’s personal story.

This famous singer boasts an incredible record collection, with tens of thousands of albums. He loves hosting musicians and friends at his home, where they listen to both new and classic soul and rock music. Because he knows so much about music history, these get-togethers become like musical lessons. Elton also uses these gatherings to support up-and-coming artists by sharing their music with his influential guests.

Stephen King chose The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, as the filming location for his television series based on his popular novel. He first visited the hotel in the 1970s, and it sparked his imagination, becoming the basis for the Overlook Hotel in his story. Many visitors and employees have reported seeing ghosts and hearing unexplained piano music, particularly in the music room. The crew filming the miniseries also encountered unusual events at this historic landmark.

To create the look of the USS Enterprise-D, the show cleverly reused sets and props from the ‘Star Trek’ movies. This allowed them to achieve a cinematic feel despite having a limited television budget. For example, the engineering set was originally built for ‘Star Trek: The Motion Picture’ and later updated for ‘The Wrath of Khan’. Hallways and living areas were also adapted from existing movie sets. By repurposing these elements, the series was able to feature detailed and impressive interiors that would have been far too costly to build new.

I’m really excited for the new season! It’s going to have ten episodes, each around an hour long. Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez are running the show this time, and the story is based on Michael Connelly’s fantastic book, The Law of Innocence – it’s the sixth book in his Lincoln Lawyer series, so fans of the books are in for a treat!
