Blake began his acting career as a child in Austin, Texas, performing in local plays. Even early on, he showed a real talent, appearing in productions like Aladdin and His Magical Lamp and a show honoring Charlie Brown. By age ten, he was already performing internationally as part of the Barney’s Colorful World arena show. Most people will recognize him from the 2006 film How to Eat Fried Worms, where he played Plug. The movie, about kids making bets and facing funny challenges, was a big hit with children, and Blake, along with the rest of the cast, won a Young Artist Award. While he stepped away from acting later on, many fans who grew up in the mid-2000s still fondly remember his performance in the film.
