It appears that Neil Gaiman is no longer associated with Casarotto Ramsay & Associates, the agency which used to manage his film, TV, and theater projects. His name was recently taken off their website in a seemingly discreet manner, hinting at a quiet separation. The agency has yet to comment on whether they still work with him.
Following numerous allegations spanning several months, it’s now been reported that Neil Gaiman, author of ‘Good Omens’, is facing accusations. Multiple women have claimed that he engaged in sexual misconduct, with specific allegations involving instances of non-consensual BDSM practices.
Initially, accusations against Neil Gaiman were discussed back in July on the Tortoise podcast titled “Master: The Allegations Against Neil Gaiman.” Subsequent episodes of the podcast and a recent article in New York Magazine have seen additional women speaking out about these allegations this month.
Gaiman firmly refutes the allegations, declaring, “I’ve never been involved in any form of non-consensual sexual activity with anyone.” He also mentioned that some stories might have been exaggerated or misconstrued, and he only admits to things he has actually done. Unfortunately, this controversy has resulted in several setbacks in his professional life.
It’s been announced that Dark Horse Comics will no longer work with him and have canceled their plans for an adaptation of “Anansi Boys”. The UK stage production of “Coraline” has been canceled, and the third season of “Good Omens” on Amazon Prime Video has been downsized to a single 90-minute episode. Additionally, Disney has paused its work on “Graveyard Book”.
As a passionate film enthusiast, I’ve been eagerly awaiting any updates regarding Neil Gaiman’s representation. Both his long-term literary agent, Merrilee Heifetz of Writers House, and CAA, another agency that previously represented him, have been reached out to for comments. However, so far, there has been no official word from either party on the matter.
