In an open discussion, Anthony Mackie has shared that he won’t be donning the famous Falcon and The Winter Soldier mask for the upcoming Marvel film, Captain America: Brave New World.
In an interview with IGN, the actor who took over the role of the beloved Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero mentioned that donning his white mask and red goggles often felt more like a dreadful dream rather than a regular part of his day.
During a chat with a news outlet, Mackie expressed that he informed the producers and his director that he would no longer wear Sam Wilson’s headgear. He put it simply, saying, “Since I told them I wouldn’t wear that thing again, you know.
Additionally, he expressed, “It was extremely challenging. The scorching heat, perspiration, and fogged eyewear made it almost unbearable. It was like a dreadful nightmare, referred to as a cowl. It left me utterly helpless.
In the finale of the Disney+ series, Wakanda presented the legendary mask to the superhero, Sam Wilson.
In the upcoming appearance, Wilson will sport a red, white, and blue outfit mimicking the Captain America shield. The finale of the 2021 series saw Mackie’s character grabbing Steve Rodgers/Captain America’s shield, leaving fans thrilled by the moment.
