Chris Evans sweetly gifted Robert Downey Jr. something for their ‘anniversary’ – celebrating the time they’ve spent as Captain America and Iron Man. However, RDJ completely forgot to get Chris a gift! Luckily, Channing Tatum, who plays Gambit in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was there and stepped in to help… by giving Chris Evans a rather memorable present – a thong he’s now apparently obligated to wear. But hey, Robert Downey Jr. is the one to blame!
Robert Downey Jr.’s choice of suit color strongly hinted at his new role as a villain, clearly channeling Doctor Doom. It appears a reunion between Iron Man and Captain America isn’t happening. Downey Jr. is embracing a darker path. Chris Evans will be back as Steve Rogers in the next Avengers film, but not as Captain America – Sam Wilson has rightfully taken on that mantle, and he’s doing a great job with it.
It was fun remembering Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr.’s playful banter at the Oscars – they seemed like old friends who loved to tease each other! That reminds us how much we’re looking forward to seeing what happens when the cast of the next Avengers movie starts doing interviews and appearances.
