Captain America 4, Thunderbolts, and Fantastic Four: Everything You Missed From SDCC 2024 Teasers

As a seasoned lifestyle expert with a deep-rooted affection for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I must say that the recent Comic-Con panel has left me absolutely thrilled! The tantalizing teasers of Captain America 4, Thunderbolts, and Fantastic Four have sent waves of exhilaration coursing through the fandom.

Last weekend, Marvel Studios unveiled a special showing of the new Deadpool & Wolverine movie at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H panel. Fans are buzzing with excitement! Among numerous updates, some standout moments were the sneak peeks for Captain America 4, Thunderbolts, and Fantastic Four.

As a longtime Marvel fan with countless hours spent reading comics and watching movies, I’m absolutely thrilled about the upcoming releases of Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and Fantastic Four. With my memories of attending Comic-Con events and eagerly waiting for new trailers, I can say that these films are highly anticipated by many fans like myself. The release dates of February 14, 2024, for Captain America, May 2, 2025, for Thunderbolts, and July 15 (next year) for Fantastic Four have been marked on my calendar. I can’t wait to see how these iconic superheroes will be brought to life on the big screen once again!

Captain America: Brave New World

In the Marvel Universe depicted on screen, Sam first meets the newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford, in a dramatic White House confrontation – a role originally brought to life by the late William Hurt.

Scarce details are found about Ross and Sam. In the context of Captain America: Civil War, Ross was tasked with apprehending both Sam and other Avengers. As president, Ross is enthusiastic about partnering with Sam, envisioning a future where Captain America could be integrated into military ranks.

Despite their informal alliance, Sam finds himself in a precarious situation due to a worldwide crisis involving Isaiah Bradley, a former super soldier and friend, who is suspected as the culprit. Spurred by his investigation, Sam embarks on a risky quest, leading to a tense showdown that ends with a hint of the menacing Red Hulk’s presence.

In the upcoming film, which is helmed by Julius Onah, Shira Haas portrays Ruth Bat-Seraph – a past Black Widow who now holds a significant position in the United States government. Joining her are Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, and Xosha Roquemore. Previous cast members Danny Ramirez (as Joaquin Torres, a former Air Force lieutenant) and Tim Blake Nelson (portraying Samuel Sterns, or The Leader) also return for this production, alongside other notable figures.

Thunderbolts

In a recent sneak peek, Yelena encounters Red Guardian at his residence, sharing with him that her existence is solely due to taking lives. As they cross paths with Bucky Barnes, John Walker, Ghost, Taskmaster, and other members of the Thunderbolts, it becomes clear they’ve all been assigned the same dangerous mission, and they seek understanding behind this assignment.

The Thunderbolts are a group of morally ambiguous characters, some of whom were initially villains, who often carry out covert missions on behalf of the government within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The forthcoming film features Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, and they’ll all reprise their roles from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Furthermore, Harrison Ford assumes the role originally played by William Hurt – Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who transforms into Red Hulk. This will be Ford’s first portrayal of the character in Captain America: Brave New World.

Fantastic Four

In this video, Pedro Pascal’s character Reed Richards, also known as Dr. Richards, delivers a science lesson called “Fantastic Science with Dr. Richards.” As reported by DiscussingFilm, he adopts an antiquated accent during his lecture. The Future Foundation, whose logo has a vintage feel, is the organization behind this video. To enhance the nostalgic atmosphere, there’s also a reimagined version of the Fantasticar, which made a personal appearance for this specific event.

The brief segment subsequently features Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing (portrayed by Ebon Moss Bachrach), and Sue Storm, or The Invisible Woman (played by Vanessa Kirby). They engage in a humorous “Who Should We Pair Up?” skit, maintaining the retro aesthetic by displaying shadowy outlines of their fellow team members.

As a fervent admirer, I’d rephrase it like this: “When Joseph Quinn unveils his take on Johnny Storm, his sister Sue turns to the camera and winks, whispering, ‘Gals, he’s all mine for now!’ The tantalizing teaser concludes with the ominous figure of Galactus, the World Devourer, casting a curious eye over The Baxter Building, our beloved Fantastic Four’s headquarters.”
