In a particularly talked-about scene from the film, Cruise engaged in an extended knife fight on a submersible while only wearing boxer briefs. Additionally, he performed part of a challenging underwater sequence dressed similarly, showcasing his commitment to on-screen authenticity.

As the applause continued, Top Gun actor Tom Cruise along with director Christopher McQuarrie (of Mission Impossible fame) acknowledged the audience.
