Owen raised doubts about Lively’s decision to submit a civil rights claim rather than initiate a lawsuit, implying it was more about preserving her public persona. “Remember,” said Owen, “she isn’t a nice person, and don’t let [the civil rights complaint] divert your attention from that fact.
During our conversation, Owens recounted a private experience from her stint as an intern at Glamour. It was claimed that her editor once characterized Lively as the toughest and most impolite celebrity they had ever encountered in their professional career.
