I’ve made my return to the limelight after a hiatus of 11 years from acting, and it feels great! My latest project, ‘Back in Action,’ streaming on Netflix, pairs me with the talented Jamie Foxx. Recently, while chatting with Complex magazine, I made a light-hearted remark that left everyone, including my co-star, a bit surprised.
During a discussion on internet-spread conspiracy theories, Foxx sought Diaz’s perspective. She then disclosed some of her own ideas, including speculation about extraterrestrial life and a hypothesis suggesting that humanity could potentially colonize Mars in time.
She went on to say, “Given our current technological state, we’re often found staring at screens instead of interacting with each other. And it seems clear that we’re venturing beyond Earth, as Elon Musk, not a political figure, leads the way in space travel.
The unexpected comment left Foxx stunned, and the camera caught his wide-eyed reaction.
Previously noted, Cameron Diaz appears alongside Jamie Foxx in the comedic spy film on Netflix, which is her first movie role in over a decade. However, this doesn’t necessarily indicate that she plans to continue acting permanently.
I find it challenging to express my feelings about it. If I speak up, it solidifies a certain perspective. However, I maintain the freedom to refuse or accept a movie role depending on my decision. At this point, I’m not committing to anything definitive. I’ll make choices based on what feels right for me and my family at any given time.
If Diaz does decide to keep acting, she has one condition: “No more rom-coms, only mom-coms.”
