Turner recalled telling Lipa he’d just started the book, and she excitedly responded that she had too, having also finished the first chapter.
The actor delivered a classic, almost comically bad, pick-up line – the kind that might actually become popular in movies. I responded with a simple, ‘So we’re on the same page.’ He admitted it felt very dramatic, describing how, in a movie scene, he’d look up at the sky and declare he understood the message, saying the signs were clear. He identified that moment as the beginning of something special.
The couple has become very close over the past two years and announced their engagement earlier this year. The 35-year-old star discussed their wedding plans, explaining they’ve been planning long-distance, which has actually strengthened their relationship. She credits FaceTime and a simple motto for making it work: “It’s always worth the effort.” They believe even if they’re tired, a quick visit is worthwhile for the happy memories it creates.
