Callum Turner makes a firm remark to James Bond casting questions in Berlin

At the very beginning of the press events for his film Rosebush Pruning at the 2026 Berlin Film Festival, Callum Turner was asked about rumors linking him to the role of a famous spy. According to Variety, he acknowledged it was a bit early to be discussing such things, and with a slight smile, stated he wouldn’t be commenting on the speculation.

Adding to the playful atmosphere, Tracy Letts jokingly declared, “I’m sorry, I’m the next James Bond!” Everyone, including his co-star, managed a laugh, responding with, “Tracy, I thought you weren’t going to say anything.” While it’s clear the 60-year-old actor isn’t actually in line to play James Bond, during the Berlin Film Festival, running from February 12th to 22nd, 2026, many were happy to pretend he might be.

Numerous actors are currently being considered to take on the role of James Bond, including Jacob Elordi, Tom Holland, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Anthony Boyle, Leo Suter, Harris Dickinson, Regé-Jean Page, and Idris Elba – who is engaged to Dua Lipa.
