According to sources speaking with The Mail on Sunday, actor Tom Turner, known for his roles in Fantastic Beasts and Masters of the Air, is confident the agreement has been finalized.

At 35, Turner is now the leading candidate to get the job, surpassing other contenders like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, James Norton, and Idris Elba.
Rumors began to spread quickly when Turner and Dua Lipa were seen on vacation together at GoldenEye in Jamaica, which used to be the home of James Bond author Ian Fleming.

If Turner officially takes over the role, Amazon may be looking to make it a two-for-one deal.
Dua Lipa is reportedly hoping to sing the next James Bond theme song, continuing a tradition established by artists such as Adele, Billie Eilish, and Sam Smith.
According to a source, Dua is incredibly excited for Callum and has expressed a desire to record a James Bond theme song.

Filming and Release Window
The screenplay for the upcoming movie is being written by Steven Knight, who created Peaky Blinders, and the project is being supervised by Denis Villeneuve, the director of Dune.
Bond 26 is expected to begin filming this year, with a 2027 theatrical release currently being eyed.
Amazon Studios recently acquired the Bond franchise.
