- Neople suggests workaround while working on fix, advises against quick successive use.
The creators of the Soulslike action RPG, The First Berserker: Khazan, have alerted players about a potential critical issue they’ve discovered, offering workarounds until a solution can be implemented. The game is set to officially release on March 27, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
The initial Berserker title, Khazan, is generating buzz among action game enthusiasts due to its brutal, gritty dark fantasy atmosphere infused with vivid, cel-shaded 3D graphics. The intense combat reminiscent of Soulslike games further fuels excitement within the fanbase as the game moves closer to its official launch date.
It’s unfortunate that enthusiastic gamers eager to dive into the game might encounter a tricky problem. Developer Neople has alerted us about this on their Khazan Steam page update. The issue arises when players use an item called the Primeval Regression Orb with specific armor sets, causing them to unintentionally lose stat points. This orb is a unique item that restores a character’s level and stats in the game, a feature commonly appreciated in RPGs as it offers fans a second chance for crucial stat distribution and build decisions.
Early The First Berserker: Khazan Bug Causes Issues With Respecs and Stat Gains
The problem with the Primeval Regression Orb in “The First Berserker: Khazan” lies in the fact that when players reset their character levels while wearing the pre-order armor and weapon set of the same name, they unintentionally lose some stat points. This issue also affects the accuracy of displayed stats on the status screen, making it incorrect to upgrade those stats using Lacrima resources within the game. In extreme cases, stats can even decrease below the minimum value of 10. Neople has stated that this bug is linked to the Hero’s Weapon and Armor pre-order set providing a fixed bonus of 5 points to all stats when worn. Regrettably, using a Primeval Regression Orb repeatedly while the bonus is active confuses the game, leading it to recalculate the player’s stats as lower than they should be.
Gladly, Neople offered a relatively accurate temporary solution for the problem and advised us gamers not to spam Primeval Regression Orbs consecutively to dodge the bug. Neople recommended completing missions, switching to a different zone, and even restarting the game between each Orb usage to guarantee the game recalculates our stats properly when resetting. For now, they’re working on a lasting fix and will share more info once it’s ready.
Amidst all the buzz and anticipation for “The First Berserker: Khazan“, it’s reassuring to know that Neople is actively addressing any early access bugs related to the game. Here’s hoping they swiftly fix these issues, ensuring players can delve into the game with as little interruption as possible.
