Bruce Willis Makes First Public Appearance Since Dementia Diagnosis, Thanks First Responders Amid Los Angeles Fires: WATCH

On Thursday, January 16, Bruce Willis made a public appearance to thank first responders during the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires. In an Instagram post shared by his wife, Emma Heming Willis, a black-and-white video showed the actor donning a New York Yankees cap and interacting with an L.A. police officer, as well as posing for a photograph. The clip was set to the tune of Led Zeppelin’s song “Going to California.

Emma, aged 46, noted in the caption that the video was shot on Wednesday, January 15th. “Encountering an emergency responder, Bruce never failed to express appreciation with a sincere handshake and ‘thank you for your service.’ Yesterday was no exception to this,” she penned down.

Tallulah Willis, Bruce’s youngest child, expressed how deeply touched she was by Heming’s video, using the phrase ‘This overflows my heart.’

It seems that the recently posted Instagram video marks the first public appearance of the Die Hard actor, who is now 69 years old, since 2022 when his family disclosed that he had been diagnosed with aphasia and was taking a break from acting. In 2023, the Willis family revealed that Bruce’s diagnosis was refined to Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), which is a progressive condition that leads to the deterioration of the frontal and temporal lobes in the brain.

Emma and Bruce have two younger daughters named Mabel Ray Willis (age 12) and Evelyn Penn Willis (age 10). The actor has older daughters Rumer Glenn Willis (age 36), Scout LaRue Willis (age 33), and Tallulah (age 30) with his former wife Demi Moore, whom he was married to from 1987 to 2000.
