As a longtime fan who has witnessed Rumer Willis’ acting journey since her debut in “Now and Then,” I wholeheartedly support her ambition to join the DCU family as Poison Ivy. Her charismatic screen presence, coupled with her versatility in various roles, makes her an excellent candidate for the iconic villain-turned-antiheroine.
Following the debut of ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,’ the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) came to a conclusion. The newly appointed co-CEOs of DC Studios, Peter Safran and James Gunn, now face a significant challenge: constructing an entirely fresh cinematic universe, which is now referred to as the “DCU.”
Approximately one year ago, a series of future projects were unveiled. The initial project, titled ‘Creature Commandos,’ is slated to be released in December of this current year. Subsequently, ‘Superman’ has been planned for launch in the year 2025.
In the current casting scenario for ‘Peacemaker,’ ‘Creature Commandos,’ and ‘Superman’ within this new universe is complete, yet we’re still waiting for updates on who will portray Batman and Wonder Woman. Simultaneously, an actress has shown enthusiasm by putting forth her own proposal to play Poison Ivy in the DCU.
That actress is Rumer Glenn Willis, daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. Like her parents, Rumer began acting at a young age. She recently posted a message on Instagram, hoping to catch the attention of either DCU or Marvel Studios for a superhero role.

Back in 1995, I made my acting debut alongside my mom in the movie ‘Now and Then.’ Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of numerous films and shows, such as ‘House Bunny’ (2008), ‘Sorority Row’ (2009), and ‘The Diary of a Teenage Girl’ (2015). For a couple of seasons, I even had a regular gig on the hit TV show ‘Empire,’ from 2015 to 2016.
It’s not certain whether her suggestion for the part of Poison Ivy was serious or merely a light-hearted joke, considering the playful way she posed with the plant.
In the DCEU, Poison Ivy hasn’t made an appearance in live action yet, but Lake Bell gives voice to the character in the animated ‘Harley Quinn’ television show.
Regardless of the intent behind Willis’ proposal, fans have responded positively.
Also I could see you totally ROCK as poison ivy!!! 🌿❤️
