BrownDust2’s Derivative Work Guidelines

Greetings to all our lovely BrownDust2 creators!

Your enthusiasm and originality significantly enrich and expand the realm of BrownDust2. We greatly value and encourage your Contributions to the Community, which is why we’ve put together these guidelines for your reference. These guidelines are intended to maintain a secure and enjoyable creative atmosphere for content creators while also enhancing the game’s popularity. Continue your fantastic work, keeping these guidelines in mind!

1) The term “Game IP” encompasses all the copyrights linked to BrownDust2, which include elements such as the game’s setting, plot, characters, creatures, artwork, background tunes, and video content.

In simpler terms, the copyright and all related intellectual property rights for any content using the Game IP are owned by BrownDust2.

In simpler terms, “Derivative Works” means creating new works by utilizing the Intellectual Property (IP) associated with the game or by creatively adapting the contents of BrownDust2.

Simply copying the Intellectual Property (IP) of the game, like replicating it through tracing or similar methods, does not qualify as Creating a Derivative Work.

Using a game based on the Game IP for creation, distribution, or service isn’t classified as an Activity involving Derivative Works.

6) In cases of creating derivative works, it’s essential to acknowledge BrownDust2 as the original source. For specific resources like songs or videos, provide a link to our official platform. Some derivative works, like figures, may require proper licensing before they can be used.

7) Permitted Derivative Works can be utilized for both non-profit and small-scale business purposes, as long as their usage adheres to the following boundaries:

In simpler terms, it’s okay to earn money from ads or sponsorships on platforms like YouTube and Twitch for your derivative works. But any income from other sources is not allowed.

Permission is granted to sell derivative works at Neowiz or BrownDust2-related events; however, prior approval from BrownDust2 is required. To secure this approval, you need to submit a proposal that includes your personal information for identity verification (name, contact details), a comprehensive list of the derivative works, pricing breakdowns, final drafts of the designs, inventory specifications, and a sales strategy plan.

As a gamer, I personally ensure that any derivative works I create are only sold directly by me. I don’t allow retail stores, wholesalers, distributors, or online marketplaces to purchase and resell these works on my behalf. Instead, I handle all sales, either in person or online, myself. If I ever want to sell through third-party distribution networks, I make sure to get prior written consent from BrownDust2 first.

5. If companies planning to produce Derivative Works using the Game IP of BrownDust2 want to sell them, they must first secure written approval from BrownDust2. Failure to do so may lead to BrownDust2 taking necessary actions such as sending a formal cease-and-desist order.

1) All adaptations or modifications (Derivative Works) must adhere to copyright regulations and applicable laws. They should never conflict with societal norms, moral values, or the established social structure. The creation of the following is expressly forbidden in Derivative Works:

– Material that offends public decency or moral standards
– Content that breaches ethical guidelines or principles
– Items promoting disorder or disruption to the social order

i. Content that could harm the reputation of BrownDust2

Content that breaches legal regulations or encroaches on other’s rights, such as copyright, patent, trademark, and the right to one’s likeness or image.

Content that shows bias, belittles, or incites prejudice or hostility towards any particular group, religion, ethnicity, or gender.

iv. Content that is violent, disturbing, or graphic

v. Content that can be mistaken as official company content

vi. Any other content deemed inappropriate by BrownDust2

As an ardent fan, I’d like to emphasize that if any creations I make using BrownDust2’s intellectual property deviate from these guidelines or break applicable laws, the creators have the right to swiftly revoke permission for such use. This could lead to various actions, such as removing the offending content, halting distribution, or blocking transmission of the infringing material.

10) All rights to the Game IP are reserved by BrownDust2.

As a dedicated enthusiast, I’d like to share some essential guidelines that help in crafting Derivative Works. Please note that these rules might be updated at any time, and specific situations could have unique policies.

Hey there fellow gamers! I’m super excited to see your creativity shine in BrownDust2. Keep those fantastic Derivative Works coming!
