Model and reality TV star Brooks Nader is sharing her regret over a past cosmetic procedure. In a recent interview with People magazine, Nader revealed she underwent liposuction several years ago and now wishes she hadn’t.
Nader confessed that she had liposuction several years ago, though she hesitated to share it. She explained she wasn’t happy with the outcome, saying she regrets having the procedure because it didn’t improve her appearance as she’d hoped and actually left her with unwanted dimpling and unevenness.
Brooks, now 29, says she’s shifted her focus when it comes to beauty and wellness. She believes prioritizing health is more important than getting a lot of cosmetic procedures, explaining, “We should focus on being healthy and do less of that stuff.”
She’s used more than just liposuction to shape her body. The former Dancing With the Stars contestant also tried weight loss medication similar to Ozempic, and believes it boosted her modeling career.
I was reading an interview with her in Bustle, and she talked about being told she needed to lose thirty pounds early in her career. Honestly, she didn’t even seem upset about it! She said she just accepted it as a fact and focused on how to lose the weight. She even said that once she started taking medication to help, things really took off for her. She was quick to add that she wasn’t saying it was okay or right – everyone’s different – but she lost the weight and suddenly started landing all the roles.
On her show, Love Thy Nader, Brooks opened up about her weight loss. Before a photoshoot for Maxim magazine, her sisters voiced worries about her use of GLP-1 medications. In a private moment, she explained that the entertainment industry has impossible beauty expectations, and she felt pressured to do everything she could to look her best for important upcoming projects, sometimes requiring her to take shortcuts.
Nader’s openness about her experiences sheds light on the challenges faced by models and other public figures regarding body image. She wants to share what it’s really like to consider cosmetic procedures and the difficult expectations within the entertainment industry.
