WWE has made it official.
Brock Lesnar’s next opponent at WrestleMania 42 is Oba Femi, who earned the match by defeating Lesnar with a powerful move called Fall From Grace on Monday Night Raw.
WWE.com announced the match on March 17th, after Femi defeated The Beast and signaled his intention to compete at WrestleMania.

Brock Lesnar returns and chaos breaks out on Raw
The show began with Seth Rollins and his team already in the ring, while Paul Heyman appeared looking injured after their previous confrontation.
As Brock Lesnar’s theme song played, he aggressively ran to the ring, immediately attacking Seth Rollins’ associates. Lesnar was there to retaliate for what Rollins had done to Paul Heyman, but he didn’t get the chance to confront Rollins directly.
That’s when Oba Femi arrived, and that changed everything.

Oba Femi drops Brock Lesnar
Femi answered Lesnar’s WrestleMania open challenge in a big way.
According to WWE, Oba Femi confidently answered the challenge before delivering a surprising Fall From Grace to Lesnar. The announcement also highlighted Femi placing his foot on Lesnar after the move, a sight rarely seen from ‘The Beast’.
WWE shared a highlight clip from Raw showing Femi defeating Lesnar, emphasizing this moment as a key part of the show’s discussion.

WWE is pushing Oba Femi hard
It’s clear WWE is heavily promoting Femi before his upcoming match. Their website highlights that since joining in December, he’s won all of his individual matches and quickly defeated every opponent he’s faced.
This goes beyond simply presenting Oba Femi as a last-minute WrestleMania opponent for Lesnar. WWE is actively building him up as a formidable and powerful competitor, someone who isn’t just there for a quick match and a payout.
They are selling this as a true collision between two powerhouses at WrestleMania 42.

There is already history between them
WWE is building on past events to intensify their rivalry. The official preview highlights that Lesnar previously eliminated Femi in the Royal Rumble, which now motivates Oba to challenge him on wrestling’s biggest platform.
This isn’t just a random event from Raw. WWE is setting up a storyline where Femi will get a chance to fight the wrestler who previously defeated him earlier this year, as part of a planned rivalry.

WrestleMania 42 just got a monster match
A match between Lesnar and Oba Femi seems perfectly suited for WrestleMania – the kind of big, show-stopping event WWE often creates. WWE themselves are calling it an “epic collision,” and that really captures what this match will be.
Brock Lesnar is a major star WWE heavily protects, so Femi knocking him out in the ring, in front of a live audience, is a very significant moment. WWE doesn’t take decisions like that casually.
So, the big question is: was what happened on Monday just a one-off event, or is WWE planning to elevate Oba Femi to main event status at WrestleMania 42?
WrestleMania 42 date and location
WrestleMania 42 will be streamed live on April 18th and 19th from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The event starts at 6 PM Eastern Time and 3 PM Pacific Time, according to WWE.
