At WWE SummerSlam 2025, Brock Lesnar stormed back with a bang, attacking John Cena following the conclusion of the second night’s main event.
Immediately following Cody Rhodes’ victorious Street Fight against Cena for the Undisputed WWE Title, “The Beast Incarnate” made his return, dealing a crushing F-5 that left Cena shattered right in the heart of the ring.
At the WWE event following SummerSlam 2023, Lesnar made his comeback. During that match, he faced Rhodes and though they shook hands after the fight, which was unusual, it left many wondering if Lesnar would reappear as a hero. However, his unexpected assault on Cena put an end to any speculation about his intentions.
Update: Triple H reacts to Lesnar’s return.

Real-Life Controversy Delayed Lesnar’s Return
As a devoted moviegoer putting it into my own words, here’s how I’d rephrase: I’ve been eagerly awaiting Brock Lesnar’s comeback, but it’s not without its share of drama. The controversy surrounding him stems from the lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against Vince McMahon and WWE earlier this year. Intriguingly, The Wall Street Journal revealed that Lesnar was the mystery UFC fighter mentioned in the legal complaint, where shocking accusations were made against McMahon and Grant. Although no formal charges were brought against him, these allegations kept Brock out of WWE television for over a year.
In spite of the unfavorable media coverage, WWE chose to rehire Lesnar – possibly due to his status as a 10-time world champion and his drawing power from his UFC days. It’s unclear if fans will warm up to him again, but those present at the event appeared indifferent and greeted Lesnar’s grand comeback with enthusiasm.
Cody Rhodes Reclaims the WWE Title
At SummerSlam 2025, I was part of the electrifying crowd that witnessed Cody Rhodes reclaiming the Undisputed WWE Championship from John Cena in a grueling Street Fight. The triumph marked the culmination of Rhodes’ journey to redemption following his title loss earlier this year.
