Bridgerton’s Iconic Queen Charlotte Aka Golda Rosheuvel Set to Star in BBC’s The Dream Lands; Know More About The Project

It seems that the BBC’s upcoming project, titled “The Dream Lands,” which is based on the novel “Dreamland” by Rosa Rankin-Gee, has revealed its cast for the six-part series about growing up. The newest member of this cast is Golda Rosheuvel, as reported by the BBC.

The actress boasts a remarkable journey through her acting career, marked by appearances in hit shows like Bridgerton and its offshoot Queen Charlotte, along with Dune: Part One. It’s said that she is set to play the character Iona in an upcoming BBC production.

Besides her, the show has gathered an impressive ensemble of actors: Pascale Kann is set to be Chance, Clara Rugaar will star as Franky, Connor Swindells plays Kole, Katherine Parkins is Antonia, Jacob Greenway steps into the role of JD, Scarlett Rayner takes on Stevie, Raphael Sowole portrays Trevor, and Tareq Al-Heddal has been chosen for Nye.

As stated on the BBC’s website, the show is set in a nearly future city called Margate, amidst rising inequality. The series titled “The Dream Lands” follows the life and love story of Chance, a young woman who must battle for her family and friends’ survival as the world around her deteriorates.

It’s said that the plot occurs in the year 2039, a time when temperatures have become dangerously hot, sea levels are increasing, and the political environment is challenging.

According to reports, Chance resorts to criminal activities to make ends meet. But when her hometown is targeted by a government revitalization project aimed at reviving its decaying coastline, her life takes an unexpected turn. Trouble brews as Chance develops feelings for Franky, who has ties to the ruling elite.

As an overly enthusiastic fan, I can’t help but share my excitement! From what I’ve gathered (and I’m constantly keeping up with updates), this incredible project is being masterfully led by none other than Erika Calmeyer and Myriam Raja. The talented Jon Jennings will be taking on the role of producer for this venture. It seems that Universal International Studios and SISTER are joining forces to co-produce this show, as reported. Can’t wait to see what they have in store for us fans!
