In the upcoming fourth season of Bridgerton on Netflix, actors Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton will portray Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton respectively. As filming commenced, these two cast members spoke with Extra TV about their characters progressing to parenthood and the introduction of their “adorable baby” in the series.
At the SAG Awards, the actors were attired in costumes reminiscent of the Regency period. The actress wore a beautiful powder-blue dress, while Newton opted for a timeless black ensemble on the red carpet.
Regarding filming, a British actor shared that they would be shooting some scenes this week, and with a baby being part of the production, the team is having a great time working together. The actress from Derry Girls added, “We have an adorable red-haired baby. He’s really something special.
Speaking excitedly about the newborn, Coughlan disclosed an instance when she was supposed to hand him over to Luke, but he seemed reluctant to let go. She went on to say that it was adorable; he clung onto her tightly as if unwilling to be passed along.

In the third installment of Bridgerton, the narrative centered around the romantic tale of Colin and Penelope, unfolding against the backdrop of a surprising revelation: Newton discovering that Lady Whistledown, the town’s gossip columnist, is actually none other than Miss Featherington.
Regarding the forthcoming installments of the Netflix series, we’re focusing on the tale of Benedict and Sophie, played by Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha.
