‘Bridgerton’ Star Shocks Fans With Blunt Love Life Confession After New Season Drops

As viewers enjoy the newest season of Bridgerton, Claudia Jessie is sharing details about her personal life. Unlike her character Eloise, who avoids romance, Jessie says her own life is quite different.

The fourth season of the popular Netflix show Bridgerton premiered on January 29th, and fans are once again enjoying watching the Bridgerton siblings find love. Many have noticed that Eloise is the only sibling who hasn’t had a significant romance, and the actress who plays her, Jessie, recently explained why in an interview.

Jessie playfully contrasted herself with her character while speaking to the Associated Press alongside her co-stars, Hannah Dodd and Luke Newton. She jokingly claimed to be more sexually active in real life than both of their characters, laughing as she made the comparison.

Jessie has been dating casting director Cole Edwards since 2024. Interestingly, they first met years earlier when she auditioned for Bridgerton. She jokingly pointed out the irony of this during an interview, noting that she plays a character in the show who actively avoids relationships and marriage.

The actress discussed her career and revealed she’s never filmed a sex scene. She stated, ‘I’ve reached 36 years old without ever doing one,’ and admitted she occasionally questions whether her casting choices have been influenced by this.

I know, as a fan, that this happy moment might not be the whole story. Those who’ve read Julia Quinn’s novels already know Eloise does eventually find her own romance, so I’m curious to see how they’ll get there!

If the show continues on its current trajectory, Jessie could find herself in more revealing scenes in upcoming seasons, a prospect she admits makes her anxious. She described the idea as feeling like “agreeing to jump out of a plane, with close-ups of me nude, and my mum watching!”

Jessie admits she doesn’t share Eloise’s love for high fashion outside of the show. At the season four premiere in Paris, she explained that she only wears corsets when filming. She told reporters that as soon as she’s done with work, she prefers to change into comfortable clothes like a tracksuit, and hasn’t adopted any of Eloise’s style into her everyday life.

Besides her role in Bridgerton, Jessie has been working on other projects, including the Netflix series Toxic Town, and has future film and voice acting roles planned. However, fans are still eagerly awaiting the second part of Bridgerton season four, which will be released on February 26th, and what it holds for her character, Eloise.
