Judging from the trailer, it appears that the franchise has pulled out all the stops and gone to great lengths with their ornate and extravagant designs, most notably for the grand Regency Ball scene. The trailer opens by showing a sneak peek of attendees adorned in opulent masks, such as Hannah Dodd’s character Franchesca, who is featured in the series.

In the last season, Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin’s (Luke Newton) romantic journey reached its climax. The upcoming fourth season will delve into Benedict’s clandestine romance with Sophie, a woman of humble origins, as depicted in Julia Quinn’s third novel, An Offer from a Gentleman.

Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) remarks, “It’s time for a new chapter,” as she takes her seat on the royal throne, eagerly anticipating the arrival of this season’s debutants. A glimpse into the intricate set designs and some behind-the-scenes sneak peeks of the upcoming season are then provided.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share my delight when I saw snippets of Benedict and Sophie, affectionately dubbed “Benophie” by us fans, in the clip. The highlights included them dancing enchantingly at the Masquerade Ball and sharing intimate moments as they read books illuminated by candlelight. It’s these little glimpses that make my heart flutter!
