I’m so excited! Netflix just announced that season 4 of my favorite romance show is coming in early 2026, but it’ll be released in two parts. I can’t wait!
The first half of the series, consisting of four episodes, will be available starting January 29th, with the remaining four episodes premiering on February 26th. Netflix also released some preview images and a brief trailer to announce the dates.
The exciting world of Bridgerton is back! Get ready for new drama and romance as Season 4 arrives in two parts: January 29th and February 26th.

This season’s focus is on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and a new character, Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). Recent photos show Benedict in a black masked outfit, and Sophie stunning in a full silver look.
The new trailer features Julie Andrews returning as the voice of Lady Whistledown. She says, “Each season brings its share of highs and lows.” As Benedict and Sophie meet, she continues, “The question is, will people meet the moment? Only time – and this author – will reveal the answer.”

The preview concludes with a sweet, fairytale-like scene: Sophie and Benedict briefly touch hands. A single silver glove is then left on the steps of the Bridgerton house, referencing the classic story of Cinderella and her glass slipper.
According to showrunner Jess Brownell, who discussed the plans with Netflix recently, Benedict’s storyline will be a primary focus moving forward.
The actress explained that viewers have been really supportive of Benedict’s character and are invested in his journey. To push him outside of his comfort zone, they introduced Sophie, a character inspired by the Cinderella story but who is strong and independent. Sophie is sure to challenge Benedict and surprise audiences.
This season, viewers can expect to see more of Penelope and Eloise. Nicola Coughlan and Claudia Jessie are back as the popular best friends, and the showrunner says their friendship is even more central to the story.
Their friendship is stronger than ever! Going through tough times together last season brought them closer, and we can’t wait for viewers to see how much they’ve both matured and how it’s changed their relationship.
The story will also feature Sophie’s family – her stepsisters, Rosamund and Posy Li, and their mother, Araminta Gun, who will be played by Katie Leung. This season marks the sisters’ first time being presented to society.
The girls’ mother has meticulously prepared them to succeed in society. Rosamund has fully embraced this training, becoming skilled at finding a suitable husband, while Posy is more of a daydreamer and doesn’t take the process seriously, which frustrates their mother.
Araminta and Rosamund were focused on their own ambitions and didn’t pay much attention to the Bridgertons initially, except that Benedict seemed particularly appealing this season.
I’m counting down the days until January 29th – that’s when the first part of season 4 finally arrives! Until then, all we fans can do is speculate about what amazing twists and turns are hidden beneath those mysterious, glamorous masks. I can’t wait to find out!
