Bridgerton Season 4 Begins Filming; Three New Cast Members Join Netflix Series

As a dedicated Bridgerton fan with years of immersing myself in the intricate world of Regency England and its captivating dramas, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of anticipation upon hearing the news that Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha’s Bridgerton Season 4 has officially started filming. With the new season set to premiere on Netflix in 2026, the addition of Katie Leung, Michelle Mao, and Isabella Wei as Lady Araminta Gun, Rosamund Li, and Posy Li, respectively, promises to bring even more intrigue and excitement to this already enchanting series.

According to a recent announcement from Netflix on Monday, production for Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha’s Bridgerton Season 4 has commenced. The highly anticipated fourth season of this popular series is expected to air on Netflix in 2026. In the meantime, producers have unveiled three new cast members who will be joining the storyline set in Britain.

Katie Leung, Michelle Mao, and Isabella Wei have joined the cast as the latest members. They will be portraying Lady Araminta Gun, Rosamund Li, and Posy Li in the upcoming series.

For the upcoming season, the storyline will primarily center on the romantic development between characters played by Luke Thompson and Ha, as they grow closer over multiple episodes. As per Netflix, the season’s summary suggests that the narrative shifts towards Benedict, the bohemian second son, portrayed by Luke Thompson.

The synopsis continues, “Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down—until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.”

Towards the finish of the past season, Benedict is depicted pursuing the Lady in Silver, whose true self remains a mystery for now, but will be unveiled in future episodes. As for how their relationship might develop, that’s still under wraps; however, viewers are eagerly awaiting it to mirror the romance as portrayed in Julia Quinn’s novels.

The new season of Bridgerton will be based on Quinn’s novel An Offer From a Gentleman.

As for the briefs about the new characters, Netflix mentioned a short description of the roles. 

Lady Araminta Gun: “Having been married and widowed twice, Araminta now has two daughters ready to enter the marriage market this season. With a keen eye for quality and a frank manner, she’s sensitive about maintaining her social status and doesn’t take kindly to anything or anyone who might undermine it.

2. Rosamund Li: “Rosamund, lovely yet vain and desiring her mother’s approval, is Araminta’s oldest child and cherished treasure. This season, she has her heart set on winning over Benedict Bridgerton and will stop at nothing to achieve her goal.

3. This year, Rosamund’s younger sister, the more compassionate Posy, is making her debut. However, her mother seldom highlights Posy, as her talkative and overly affectionate nature frequently leads her to blunder by saying too much.

In the meantime, Yerin Ha has been cast as Sophie Beckett. This talented actress isn’t just known for landing the main role in Bridgerton’s fourth season; she’s also proven her skills within the Australian film industry.
