On March 24, 2026, they revealed that Bridgerton Season 5 was already being filmed and would focus on the romance between Francesca Bridgerton and Michaela Stirling.
Bridgerton Season 5 begins production mere weeks after the end of the Season 4 finale
Netflix announced on social media that Season 5 of Bridgerton will center around a new love story for one of the countesses. The post confirmed, “Don’t worry, fans – a certain countess will find love again…” and revealed that production is now underway.
The upcoming season will finally show Hannah Dodd and Masali Baduza’s characters finding the love and connection they’ve been searching for. Francesca Bridgerton will experience love again after her husband’s death, but in a surprising turn, it will be with his close cousin, Michaela Stirling. A scene shows them on a balcony, exchanging loving glances and holding hands, signaling the beginning of their romantic relationship.
