2024 found me, your fellow gamer and guitar enthusiast, wrapping up another electrifying Stray Cats tour. As I took my final bow, little did I know that a sudden health hurdle was waiting for me off-stage. Despite feeling no physical discomfort, an unusual sensation crept into my hands, as if they were enclosed in tight gloves. Upon medical examination, I discovered I was battling an autoimmune disorder, which explained the peculiar sensations that had taken hold of my precious instrument-wielding appendages.
Despite struggling to play his guitar and occasionally finding it hard to tie his shoelaces, he decided to seek medical help. In February 2025, he shared on social media that the Mayo Clinic might contribute significantly to his optimistic journey towards healing.
It appears the treatment was successful, as Setzer and The Stray Cats have scheduled a series of concerts for October and November. In total, they will perform at 20 different venues, but unfortunately, if you reside in the American South, there won’t be any shows nearby. However, fans living elsewhere should find a concert close to their location with ease.
