Brett Ratner Addresses Epstein Photo and Denies Personal Relationship

Brett Ratner, who directed the recent documentary about Melania Trump, has stated he wasn’t close to Jeffrey Epstein. This comes after newly released documents showed a photo of Ratner with Epstein and two women whose faces were obscured. Ratner told Fox News the photo was taken about twenty years ago at an event he attended with his then-girlfriend.

Ratner states he didn’t have a personal relationship with Epstein and barely knew him at the time. He doesn’t recall the specific encounter, explaining they weren’t friends. He’s consistently said in the past that he didn’t recognize Epstein, as they never formed a genuine connection.

The director clarified that his fiancée was the one who brought him to the event where the photo was taken. He confirmed the woman in the picture was indeed his fiancée and that they just happened to be together at the time. He described the whole situation as unfortunate and frustrating, explaining that people can easily find themselves caught up in something like this even if they’ve done nothing wrong.

Government documents recently released included the name of music executive Lyor Cohen, but there’s no evidence he did anything wrong. The files also mentioned other well-known figures like Jay-Z and Harvey Weinstein, though much of this information came from unverified sources. Cohen appears to be trying to put the past behind him as he re-enters the film industry.

Director Brett Ratner, known for his work on the Melania movie, was photographed with Jeffrey Epstein alongside two individuals who were later identified as victims.

A new documentary by Ratner, titled Melania, is gaining attention and proving surprisingly popular. The film follows Melania Trump during the period before the 2025 inauguration and earned $7.04 million in its opening weekend, playing in over 1,700 theaters. It’s notable as the most costly documentary ever produced, with Amazon MGM Studios reportedly spending $40 million to acquire the rights.

Roger Ratner is jumping back into filmmaking with several exciting new projects. He’s starting to develop a fourth Rush Hour movie, a sequel fans have been hoping for, and which reportedly has the backing of former President Trump. He’s also potentially directing a documentary about the Abraham Accords – the peace agreements made during Trump’s presidency. These projects represent Ratner’s return to the industry after a nearly ten-year break.
