Brandon Sklenar Teases DCU Batman Buzz: “There’s Some Awareness of Me”

Essentially, the DC Universe, as we know it today, can trace its roots back to the animated series “Creature Commandos.” However, in the eyes of Safran and Gunn, the upcoming “Superman” movie is seen as the genuine starting point for this fresh cinematic universe.

Apart from these, a few other projects have been verified too. For instance, there’s a live-action TV show called “Lanterns” which revolves around a distinguished set of Green Lanterns. Moreover, “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” is underway, with Milly Alcock portraying the Supergirl character from the DC Universe. Lastly, “Paradise Lost,” a series delving into Themyscira’s lore and Wonder Woman’s origins, is also in the making.

In the DC Universe, many pivotal characters like Superman, Lex Luthor, and Supergirl have had their actors confirmed. However, an essential mystery lingers: Who will take on the role of Batman in this fresh universe?

Among the top fan suggestions for playing Batman, Brandon Sklenar stands out, recognized for his acting roles in “It Ends With Us,” “Westworld,” and more recently, “1923.

Sklenar has just spoken up regarding the speculations and expressed his enthusiasm over fans envisioning him as Batman, finding it quite neat. He casually mentioned that donning the cape of Batman has been a childhood dream for him, although he had never shared this before.

Since the topic has come up, he’s optimistic that it could become a reality at some point in the future. If given the chance, he dreams of embodying Batman as his preferred superhero character.

He expressed a desire that he’s harbored since childhood – something he hadn’t previously discussed. It unexpectedly began to materialize, leaving him excited, and now, with luck, it might come true someday.

I’m eager to take on this task! The idea has been a cherished dream since my childhood, to portray something similar to that character in the realm of superheroes. If I were given the opportunity to work within the superhero genre, this is exactly what I would aim for.

The actor himself confessed that he believes DC Studios may have a sense of the fans’ desire to see him as Batman, but he acknowledges they are yet to reach a decision on this matter. He expressed that both his youthful and mature self find this prospect thrilling, and interestingly enough, he has already conceived some ideas for the role. In essence, he views it as an exciting potential opportunity.

Absolutely, there seems to be some recognition of me, perhaps subconsciously. However, I understand they’re not quite ready yet. But you know, the child and adult in me are both excited about this opportunity! I have a lot of thoughts and ideas about it. In any case, it would be pretty awesome.
