Bradley Cooper Finally Addresses Plastic Surgery Speculation

Bradley Cooper is addressing the recent online speculation about whether he’s had cosmetic surgery, responding to the buzz surrounding his changing appearance.

The actor addressed the rumors briefly on Monday’s SmartLess podcast. While he didn’t confirm or deny them, he expressed surprise at the amount of attention they’ve received. E! News later shared highlights from the conversation.

The conversation started when Will Arnett, who recently filmed the movie Is This Thing On? with Cooper, was asked to reveal a little-known fact about his friend. Arnett explained he could share many things, but one story kept resurfacing.

David Arnett mentioned that people keep assuming Bradley Cooper has had plastic surgery, but he wants to clarify that isn’t true. “Everybody thinks that Bradley’s had plastic surgery… What people don’t know is that he hasn’t!” he explained.

Cooper chimed in, saying he was surprised by everything that was happening. He shared that he’d been receiving unusual and noticeable compliments lately.

Cooper said that people have recently told him he looks good. “They came up to me in the last couple of weeks and said, ‘Oh, you look good!'”

Arnett said it’s been frustrating to see all the speculation, and he explained that rumors like this happen frequently and are usually untrue.

Arnett chuckled, saying, “You hear that said all the time, and it’s funny. Everyone assumes they have all the answers, especially after reading unreliable sources.”

The rumors gained traction after Cooper appeared at the 2025 New York Film Festival in October.

Pictures from the premiere of “Is This Thing On?”, showing him with Jason Bateman and Laura Dern on the red carpet, quickly circulated online. People on social media noticed a change in his appearance and began to wonder if he’d had plastic surgery, with some suggesting he might have had a facelift.

Even though people often talk about Cooper’s appearance, his new project is receiving very positive feedback. Rolling Stone magazine called it a surprising and impressive success.

This film, a blend of drama and comedy, is directed and co-written by Cooper, along with Will Arnett and Mark Chappell. It centers on Alex Novak, played by Arnett, who tries stand-up comedy as he adjusts to life after separating from his wife, Tess (played by Dern). This is Cooper’s third directorial effort, following the acclaimed films A Star is Born (2018) and Maestro (2023).
