As an ardent fan of Hollywood drama and its most intriguing couples, I can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia when I think about Brangelina – Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Their love story was as captivating as any blockbuster movie, filled with romance, adventure, and a fair share of drama. The Venice Film Festival served as a poignant reminder of their past glory, yet the air of tension that lingered the festive occasion.

Jolie attended the festival for the premiere of her biopic Maria, about opera singer Maria Callas. It received a whopping 8-minute standing ovation, leaving the actress in tears. Three days later, Pitt arrived to support his new thriller Wolfs with long-time friend and co-star George Clooney, while Jolie had already jetted off to attend the Telluride Film Festival. The Fight Club actor still had lady luck by his side, girlfriend of two years, Ines de Ramon.
The ex-spouses’ carefully planned agendas might have been designed to preserve harmony and steer clear of media scrutiny. Despite the fact that they divorced eight years ago, there remains a significant amount of tension between the actors who played Mr. and Mrs. Smith, largely due to their ongoing financial disputes and custody battles over their children: Maddox (23), Pax (20), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), and 16-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.
As a dedicated follower of the events unfolding in 2012, I, too, became captivated when Jolie and Pitt acquired Château Miraval, a French villa and vineyard, for approximately $60 million. In 2013, we launched Miraval wines, and within five hours, sold an astounding 6,000 bottles of rosé. Lately, the Bullet Train actor has filed a legal notice, alleging that Jolie deliberately attempted to cause harm by selling her share of the winery following their separation. This recent development has rekindled their tumultuous divorce dispute.
Despite keeping silent on his legal dispute with an actress from The Eternals, the Seven actor shared insights into his mental and emotional state. In a conversation with GQ, he expressed it in a less clichéd manner: “The air feels refreshing, the grass is vibrant, and I’ve found myself becoming more at peace with life.”
With their most recent ventures bringing them back into the spotlight, a confidant source for both actors disclosed that they are each maintaining their positions amidst the prolonged divorce drama. A confidant source close to Pitt asserts that he holds no animosity towards the Maleficent actress, while the other party’s representative shares that she is deeply saddened by the circumstances.
Alberto Barbera, the Artistic Director of the Venice Film Festival, stated during a press conference that their arrival was “undoubtedly” staggered and there was no way for them to cross paths.
As a dedicated follower, I’d like to share some exciting news: On September 12, wolves are set to be unveiled in theaters, whereas Marie from Jolie is scheduled for a big screen debut on February 6 of the next year.
