‘Both Licenses Are Current’: Doctors Charged In Connection To Matthew Perry’s Death Can Continue To Prescribe Medication, Report Reveals

As a lifestyle expert who has spent years navigating the complexities of celebrity wellness and the entertainment industry, I find this situation with Matthew Perry deeply concerning. The ongoing investigation into his death and the involvement of medical professionals raises serious questions about accountability and oversight in the field of medicine.

Ever since the revelation of Matthew Perry’s investigation became public knowledge, there has been a great deal of interest in following the developments. As for the most recent information on this topic, it appears that the physicians implicated in Perry’s case are still allowed to dispense prescribed medications under current reports.

According to my sources, as reported by Page Six and TMZ, I’ve learned that Doctors Salvador Plasencia and Mark Chavez possess the legal authority to dispense prescriptions. They’ve both acknowledged their role in what appears to be providing Ketamine to Katy Perry, a revelation that has caught my attention.

Based on reports from TMZ, the Medical Board of California found no grounds to suspend or revoke their medical licenses, even though charges have been brought against them. The board stated that both licenses remain valid and in good standing, with no restrictions currently imposed.

On the official Medical Boards of California’s website, neither Chavez’s nor Plasencia’s licenses show any limitations. As per the details provided, Chavez’s license is marked as “renewed and valid” until June 30, 2026, while Plasencia’s license expires on October 31 of the same year.

According to Page Six, the US Department of Justice revealed on Thursday that Plasencia stands accused of conspiring to distribute ketamine, as well as seven separate charges for distributing this specific drug, and two additional counts for falsifying or altering records related to the ongoing federal probe.

Chavez admitted to conspiring in the distribution of ketamine. He acknowledged in his confession that he illegally sold ketamine to Plasencia for the actor’s personal use. The court documents suggest that two medical professionals had been providing ketamine to Perry since late September 2023, according to media reports.

As a lifestyle advisor, I’d like to share an interesting piece of information I came across recently. In the days leading up to his unfortunate demise, the star of 17 Again is reported to have made cash payments exceeding $55,000.

One of the individuals charged for their involvement in the actor’s death, Perry’s live-in assistant Kenneth Iwamasa who frequently provided the recreational drug from his home, was Perry’s personal assistant. Alongside him, Ketamine Queen, known as Jasveen Sangha, and Eric Fleming were also taken into custody, accused of supplying the drug to the actor, Perry or Fools Rish In star.
