Bob Odenkirk Arrives Guns A-Blazing in NORMAL Trailer

Following a brief teaser released in December, the full trailer for Normal is here, and it’s packed with intense action! Bob Odenkirk plays a seemingly ordinary small-town sheriff who unexpectedly becomes an action hero when a botched robbery leads him into a dangerous criminal plot. The trailer starts with a slow, almost somber tone, but quickly explodes into a fast-paced showcase of gun fights, explosions, and all the thrills you’d expect. And true to form for a Bob Odenkirk film, it features a couple of perfectly delivered, threatening one-liners, like, “I say we play the hand that’s been dealt to all of us, and maybe you get to keep the rest of your Goddamn fingers.”

Starring alongside Odenkirk in the crime thriller are Henry Winkler and Lena Headey. Ben Wheatley (Kill List; Meg 2: The Trench) directs, while Odenkirk, Kolstad, and Marc Provissiero produce. The film’s official synopsis is as follows:

Sheriff Ulysses (Bob Odenkirk) hoped a quiet assignment in the small town of Normal would help him escape his troubled marriage and the trauma he experienced on the job. However, when a failed bank robbery shatters the town’s peace, a dark secret comes to light, revealing that Normal is anything but ordinary. Soon, everyone—even his own deputies—is trying to harm him, and the sheriff must depend on his resilience and a group of unlikely criminals to make it through the night.

If you didn’t know any better, the trailer for this movie could easily be mistaken for another installment in the Nobody series. It has the same fast-paced action and features Bob Odenkirk playing an ordinary man caught in extraordinary circumstances. Normal hits theaters with a bang on April 17th.
