Blue Box Manga To Go On Hiatus For A Week? Here’s What We Know

As a dedicated fan who’s been following Blue Box since its inception, I can confidently say that this manga has become an integral part of my weekly routine. The storyline, characters, and the unique blend of sports and romance make it a truly captivating read. With each new chapter, I find myself rooting for Taiki, Chinatsu, Kyo, and Hina as they navigate their challenges, both on and off the court.

Next week’s edition of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from Shueisha will temporarily halt the Blue Box manga. This pause has been confirmed by the official franchise account, which was previously known as Twitter. The 40th issue, scheduled for September 2, 2024, will present chapter #162 when the series resumes.

I’m a devoted fan, and the manga series that captivates me is titled “Blue Box” (Ao no Hako), hailing from Japan and masterfully crafted by Kouji Miura. This captivating tale began its serialization journey in April 2021. As of August 2024, it has accumulated a total of 16 tankōbon volumes. The much-anticipated anime television adaptation, produced by TMS Entertainment, will grace our screens in October 2024. Telecom Animation Film is responsible for bringing this series to life on the small screen.

170,000 copies of Blue Box were sold just a week after its debut, making it one of the more well-liked mangas from previous years. In 2021, Blue Box was nominated for the Best Print Manga category in the seventh Next Manga Award. Additionally, it won the Global Prize and ranked fourth on the list of Nationwide Bookstore Employees’ Recommended Comics for 2022.

Blue Box Manga chronicles the life of Taiki Inomata, a student at Eimei Junior and Senior High School. He’s not just any student, he’s also part of the school’s badminton team. Every morning, you can find him training diligently, and his training partner happens to be Chinatsu Kano, a senior and an object of his affection who plays basketball for the girls’ team. Their routine life takes an unexpected turn when Chinatsu’s parents relocate abroad, leading her to move in with Taiki.

As a devoted follower, I strive to achieve the national championships alongside my teammates, just as Taiki does with Chinatsu. While juggling school responsibilities, I also endeavor to deepen my relationship with Chinatsu. With Kyo and Hina by my side, we face numerous challenges that make our manga an engaging read.

The manga gets released concurrently on Shonen Jump’s site by Viz Media. Additionally, Shueisha shares the series in English through the Manga Plus App and its website, for free. The 161st chapter leaves readers hanging, as they eagerly await to see if Kyo and Ayame will resolve their issues. Keep an eye out for future developments in the Blue Box manga!
