Character Overview
During the upcoming event titled “~Prefect Team Administrator Emergency Special Order~ Head Prefect Hina’s Summer Break!“, Iori (Swimsuit) – a 3* Limited Explosive Striker student, will be having a rerun. She will share the spotlight with another Limited banner character, Hina (Swimsuit).
Initially, upon release, S.Iori was a powerful choice for a Single Target Explosive damage dealer, making her a versatile addition to various teams due to her damage not being contingent on an EX Skill. This made her a low-maintenance student who could be paired with another DPS (Damage Per Second) character. However, the strategy has evolved from utilizing multiple DPS characters into forming hyper-carry teams. Nonetheless, with the introduction of a new raid difficulty, she might reemerge as a valuable asset in Torment raids for additional team compositions.
Strengths
- Strong Auto Attacker
- Has 2 DoTs
Weaknesses
- Better alternatives for a Single Target damage dealer
- EX Skill is lackluster
Skill Review
EX Skill

Compared to most other students, S.Iori’s EX Skill isn’t particularly impressive. It causes damage in a circular area, but it lacks any extra effects. Although it has a low cost of 4, its multiplier is only slightly superior to Akari, who is a free-to-farm 2* student upgraded to UE50. If you need an AoE Explosive student, Aru can be obtained through challenging stages and significantly outperforms the damage this EX Skill produces.
Basic Skill

For the Basic Ability, it imposes a continuous Cool Down Damage Over Time effect every 25 seconds that lasts for 20 seconds. This ability resembles her Sub Ability, but the key distinction is this ability doesn’t rely on random number generation to activate its effects and can’t maintain a constant 100% uptime.
Enchanced Skill

In simpler terms, S.Iori’s Enhanced Skill boosts their own Attack stat, which is more beneficial compared to a Critical Hit buff since Chill cannot perform critical attacks.
Sub Skill

In summary, S.Iori’s Sub Skill contributes significantly to her attack-focused ability set. Much like the Basic Skill, it imposes a Chill penalty on the enemy. This Chill effect is considered a separate instance of damage over time (DoT), enabling you to apply two Chill debuffs simultaneously to an enemy. With its 20-second duration and 10-second cooldown, there’s an opportunity for this debuff to be active 100% of the time.
Gameplay Progression
At first glance, S.Iori might not appear to be an optimal option for all-purpose content due to her inability to precisely target the boss using her Sub and Basic skills. However, her EX Skill can make her a viable choice as an alternate Area of Effect (AoE) damage dealer.
Early game alternatives:
Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.
In the later stages of play, also known as high-investment phase, character S.Iori is primarily useful in two situations: Kaiten and Hieronymus raids. However, it’s important to note that in both these scenarios, there are often characters with superior damage output if your aim is to conquer Insane difficulty. But if your objective is merely to achieve a successful run or complete Torment, S.Iori can serve as a suitable substitute.
- Minimum Required Investment: UE40
- Skill Leveling Priority: Basic = Sub > Enhanced
Conclusion
In essence, S.Iori stands out as an effective Single Target damage dealer, particularly recognized for her potent DoT (Damage over Time) effects that don’t necessitate any Skill Points. This versatility makes her a valuable addition to almost any Explosive team, especially those facing challenges in finding a fitting student member. Furthermore, she has discovered some unique applications in PvP, specifically against Light armored tanks like Haruka.
As for the investment question, if you intend to make S.Iori your main or sub damage dealer, upgrading her Ultimate Evolution (UE40) is generally a wise decision.
