Blink-182 Cancel Concerts in Kansas City and St. Louis Due to ‘Illness’; Details Here

As a devoted Blink-182 fan, I’ve been following their journey through thick and thin for over two decades now. The rollercoaster of emotions they’ve taken us on is nothing short of iconic, from the highs of groundbreaking albums to the lows of health issues that have forced them to cancel shows. It’s a bittersweet feeling knowing that their music brings us joy, but their health concerns remind us of the humanity behind the band.

Due to health issues, rock group Blink-182 has regretfully had to cancel their concerts in Kansas City and St. Louis, as announced via their official account on X (previously Twitter). In a joint statement about the cancellations, which are part of their ongoing One More Time tour, they explained, “Sadly, illness prevents us from performing in Kansas City and St. Louis on August 9th and 10th.”

The rock band considered and responded to the concert attendees’ worries about getting their money back, by bringing up this topic in their post too. They promised that if the tickets were purchased via Ticketmaster, the refund would be processed promptly; however, if they were bought from third parties, the problem should be directed towards them.

“We are so sorry and hope to see you next time,” the message concluded.

In more current developments, the band has had to postpone some shows because of health issues. Previously, they have also canceled concerts for similar reasons, with their most recent instance being the cancellation of their Mexico shows in April, as Billboard stated. It was reported that the band’s bassist, Mark Hoppus, was dealing with a severe throat infection and bronchitis.

“As die-hard enthusiasts, we deeply understand the inconvenience our decision may cause. Flights, hotels, plans, even babysitters were all accounted for. Trust us, it wasn’t a decision made lightly. We held extensive discussions with our management about rescheduling, but unfortunately, it just wasn’t feasible. We sincerely attempted to shift the date and explore alternatives, but this is the unfortunate truth we’re faced with. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude and support to each one of you. Thank you for your understanding and unwavering fandom.”

1. The group recently took the stage at Lollapalooza Chicago, but their performance didn’t sit well with music critics. A particular review, however, caught the attention of member Tom DeLonge, who playfully reacted to it on Instagram. His comment read: “Oh my goodness, I’m dying hahaha, I simply adore this band,” he penned as a caption.
