As a lifestyle expert with years of experience in navigating the complexities of Hollywood, I find myself intrigued by the unfolding saga between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. While it is essential to maintain objectivity, my personal perspective leans towards transparency and truth.
Justin Baldoni’s legal representative has spoken out about accusations of sexual misconduct leveled against Baldoni, who both starred with and directed Blake Lively in the film “It Ends with Us.” In a statement released on December 23, attorney Bryan Freedman countered claims that Baldoni’s crisis management team engineered a negative campaign aimed at damaging Lively’s public image.
In a show of support, Freedman stood up for The Agency Group (TAG PR), who represent Baldoni. He stated that they acted appropriately when tasked with shielding their client from the influence of two influential figures.
He explained that TAG PR functioned much like any other crisis management agency would when engaged by a client facing threats from two incredibly influential individuals who had vast financial resources.
In the course of promoting “It Ends with Us,” it was suggested that the public’s view of Lively was shaped naturally through her own actions, statements, and promotional decisions, which many found distasteful. Freedman criticized the media for exaggerating the controversy, noting that private messages leaked from Lively lacked crucial context, much like what he had previously accused Baldoni’s team of doing.
Freedman stated, “It’s quite ironic; The New York Times, in their attempt to expose a sneaky PR campaign, ended up reinforcing Evelyn Lively’s questionable PR strategies by publishing private messages without proper context – which is exactly what she’s accusing the firm of doing.
Lively’s formal grievance implies that Baldoni behaved improperly during the movie-making, with actions like displaying explicit content on set, inquiring intrusive questions about her private life, and trying to modify intimate scenes beyond their initial plans.
Speculation about potential tension between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has grown stronger as they’ve been absent from joint appearances and events. Fans also pointed out that neither Jenny Slate (Lively’s co-star) nor Colleen Hoover (author of It Ends with Us) follow Baldoni on Instagram. Despite Freedman denouncing these claims as false and defamatory, several celebrities such as Colleen Hoover, America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel have publicly shown support for Lively.
