In the on-going court case, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have been summoned for a court appearance. Before the hearing, the actress has been granted a protective order by the judge, as reported by People Magazine based on court documents.
As per the court decision, the judge stated that the mother of four should set up a printer-equipped computer at a designated location by the actress. Additionally, Baldoni’s legal team needs to notify Lively about the expected number of attendees for the deposition no later than July 15.
The decision follows allegations from the actress’s team that the lawyer for the director of “It Ends With Us” turned the deposition into a show.
This sentence maintains the original meaning but is written in a simpler and more conversational style, making it easier to understand.
Judge grants Blake Lively a protective order
After Blake Lively had made a plea for a protective order, the judge’s decision followed, requiring the defendants to move to a location chosen by her. Earlier, lawyers representing Jane the Virgin had alleged that the actress was misusing her celebrity status in managing the deposition proceedings.
According to the judge’s statement, Lively is a person bringing a lawsuit who has made severe accusations of wrongdoing towards the Wayfarer Groups.
Just as any defendant has the right, the Wayfarer Parties can question Lively to gather important evidence for their defense. Additionally, they have the authority to decide where this questioning takes place, which they exercised.
During an interview with TMZ, Bryan Freedman, Baldoni’s attorney, shared his anticipation for the deposition. He explained his approach by saying, “I’ll be asking questions that she must answer truthfully under oath, and she will need to provide evidence to back up her stories. We have all the relevant videos and footage in our possession.
Additionally, he mentioned that they possess both text messages and emails. They will examine if her testimony aligns with the true events as revealed by these documents.
Meanwhile, the trial for the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni case will begin in March 2026.
