Two months into the year 2025, we find ourselves already embroiled in a series of contentious issues. The latest figure to step into the fray is Blake Lively, as an assistant director from ‘A Simple Favor’ has come forward claiming that working with her wasn’t a positive experience.

It appears that allegations emerged following Henry Golding’s share of the promotional poster for A Simple Favor’s Sequel, Another Simple Favor. In a now-deleted comment, a user identified as Barbwiretv (Barbara Szeman) made a critical remark about Lively without directly mentioning her name. She stated that she had worked on the original film of the franchise and expressed dissatisfaction with one particular individual who was responsible for her leaving her position as an assistant director. Her IMDb page supports this claim, suggesting that the person she alluded to might be Lively.

Originally, the former AD had responded to her first statement with another one, which has since been removed as well, expressing gratitude for people’s kindness. She clarified that she didn’t want her allegations to spread but remained steadfast in her assertions. In addition, she stated that while she wanted to minimize focus on this matter, she would still share that the person was often cruel and caused her great distress by constantly criticizing her and making her feel unappreciated, leading to many tearful journeys home.

Szeman strongly reaffirmed that Lively’s ongoing legal struggle is a manifestation of “Karma.” She further expressed, “It’s almost unbelievable to see this happening to her. Indeed, Karma does exist.

For those unaware of the situation involving Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, Lively’s It Ends With Us co-star was accused by her of sexual harassment and other allegations. In response, Baldoni has filed a lawsuit against Lively, also creating a website to outline the sequence of events as they unfolded.

In contrast, Barbara posted on Facebook, “I’m done commenting on Instagram posts from now on.

Currently, her Instagram and Facebook accounts seem to be offline. Over the next few days, we should learn more about the ongoing legal dispute, along with Szeman’s allegations.
