Blake Lively’s court appearance in the Justin Baldoni case has been rescheduled to July 31st. This change is said to be due to the dismissal of Jed Wallace, a prominent figure in social media, from the lawsuit over jurisdictional matters.
Since Wallace’s dismissal lacked any negative implications, the actress is free to resubmit her lawsuit should she choose to do so.
Blake Lively’s deposition date in Justin Baldoni case postponed
When it became known that the hearing regarding the delay of the deposition had been concluded, a representative for the actress from Another Simple Favor announced to TMZ that Lively acknowledges and agrees with the court’s ruling to remove Wallace from the legal proceedings.
The insider disclosed to the media outlet that the judge’s decision was not based on the validity of her accusations against Mr. Wallace concerning the smear campaign, but instead focused entirely on a technical issue: whether he is under the jurisdiction of New York or another location.
Lively’s team explained that they are considering multiple ways to ensure Mr. Wallace is held responsible for his actions.
Before the trial involving Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, a protective order was granted to Lively. The judge decided that the defendant must move to a location chosen by the mother of four.
The court’s statement indicates that Lively is a person who has made significant accusations of wrongdoing towards the Wayfarer Group.
In addition, it was stated that, just as any other defendants, the Wayfarer Parties have the right to question Lively to gather essential evidence for their defense. Moreover, they have the authority to decide where this questioning will take place, and they exercised that option.
Yet, Baldoni’s legal team alleged that the Age of Adaline star misused her celebrity status to dominate the deposition proceedings.
The court proceedings for this case are scheduled towards the end of this current month, but the actual trial dates in our ongoing legal dispute have been officially set for March 2026.
