According to available reports, the lead actor from Another Simple Favor spent an entire day answering questions while taking an oath during a hearing.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s case deposition begins

Based on her initial allegations, Blake Lively asserted that Justin Baldoni acted inappropriately towards her during filming of It Ends With Us. Additionally, she accused Baldoni of orchestrating a negative campaign against her. Later on, Baldoni, star of Jane the Virgin, filed a lawsuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, for extortion and slander.

Initially, it was decided that the deposition would happen on July 17th. But after discussing it together, the co-stars chose to reschedule the hearing to sometime later in the same month instead.

Before the start of the deposition, Bryan Freedman, the filmmaker’s lawyer, called for attention by proposing that the hearing should be held at Madison Square Garden, with ticket sales or live streaming, all proceeds going to charities assisting victims of domestic violence.

Previously in an interview with People Magazine, Freedman stated, “Since Ms. Lively is willing to testify, let’s make it significant.” He also mentioned, “Conduct the deposition at Madison Square Garden, sell tickets or stream it, and donate every penny to organizations aiding victims of domestic abuse.

Simultaneously, responding to the query, Lively’s representatives issued a declaration expressing their view that Freedman had been attempting to turn this issue into a public spectacle on every occasion.

The trial for the case involving Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, as represented by their legal teams, has been scheduled to commence in March 2026.
