Blake Lively’s well-known legal dispute with Justin Baldoni has had a significant impact on her family’s emotional state. On February 18, she escalated the lawsuit against her It Ends With Us director and co-star in a New York federal court. According to documents obtained by Page Six, Lively asserts that her children have been deeply affected by this legal ordeal, suffering from trauma.
In a more vibrant rephrasing: Lively, together with her spouse Ryan Reynolds, is proud parents to daughters James (10), Inez (8), Betty (5) and son Olin. The document appears to suggest that these children have experienced deep emotional disruptions that significantly affected their overall wellness.
The document submitted additionally asserted that the performer of Deadpool and Wolverine has experienced a detrimental impact on his mental, physical, and professional well-being as a result of the distress his wife and children are said to be experiencing. The grievance stated that Lively has encountered difficulties in rising from bed on certain days.
Despite maintaining a strong public image by fulfilling her work obligations, the actress who plays Green Lantern confides that she grapples with intense grief, fear, trauma, and debilitating anxiety when away from the spotlight. The report also indicated that her worsening mental state has led to persistent and distressing physical ailments.
In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, charging him with sexual harassment and claiming he orchestrated a malicious campaign to harm her reputation. In her revised claim, she asserted that other women on the set of their movie shared discomfort with Baldoni’s actions due to his behavior as the actor from Jane the Virgin.
In January, Baldoni initiated a countersuit worth $400 million against Lively, alleging defamation and extortion. However, on February 16, Lively and Reynolds attended their first public event since the legal dispute at the 50th anniversary celebration of Saturday Night Live.
Instead of making remarks themselves, the pair remained silent, yet Reynolds subtly suggested a complicated legal dispute through a clever joke. In response to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler inquiring about his well-being, he cheekily asked, “I’m doing great! So, what have you heard?
Initially, the crowd applauded and chuckled when he made the comment, but later, his apparent lack of sensitivity towards a serious legal case led to harsh criticism and backlash on social media.
