On April 24, Lively and Reynolds graced the red carpet at the TIME100 Gala in a stunning, glamorous manner. This outing served as a rare romantic evening for the couple, marking an exceptional appearance amidst the ongoing legal disputes that have engulfed Lively in her legal battle with Justin Baldoni, her co-star from Gossip Girl and It Ends With Us.
The family, including the couple and Lively’s mother, Elaine, enjoyed an evening of Jazz at Lincoln Center, making it a fun family event. Blake Lively sparkled in a strapless fuchsia gown adorned with emerald accents, while Ryan Reynolds cut a sharp figure in his classic black suit and bowtie.
The high-profile debut takes place during a difficult period for Lively. In December 2024, she lodged a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department against Baldoni and executives at Wayfarer Studios. Her allegations included sexual harassment, retaliation, and a malicious smear campaign.

Baldoni and his team have rejected all allegations and retaliated with a defamation lawsuit seeking $400 million in compensation, aimed at damages caused by Lively, Reynolds, and their spokesperson.
They also filed a second lawsuit against The New York Times over publishing details of a CRD complaint, claiming that the article slandered private communications. However, Lively’s lawyers argue that the complaint is backed by strong evidence and accuse the defendants of “astroturfing” in retaliation to tarnish her reputation.
According to Lively’s legal team, speaking to E! News, this isn’t a dispute stemming from creative disagreements or a he-said-she-said scenario. Instead, Lively’s allegation claims that Wayfarer and their associates illegally retaliated through astroturfing when she was trying to safeguard herself and others on set. Unfortunately, their response to the lawsuit has been to continue attacking Ms. Lively since her legal action was initiated.
