Yet, others firmly believe the brand goes by Barnies, causing Maria to doubt her initial assumptions. Not only does she find out she was mistaken, but even the label on the baseball cap switches to Barnies. In time, it’s disclosed that Verity invented a device capable of transporting them both to parallel realities where certain aspects differ.
Netflix creatively interpreted the concept of a parallel universe, or flipped reality, by airing two different variations of the same episode. Some viewers recognized the characters as Bernies, while others perceived them as Barnies.
It became apparent that there was a significant disparity in the episodes following a user’s tweet on platform X, stating they and their friends had downloaded distinct versions of the same episode. The user further expressed, “We found a significant difference between our episodes… viewers are even being misled at 16:40!
