Bitcoin Whales Are Back, and They’re Snatching Up BTC Like It’s the Last Pair of Yeezys!

  • CryptoQuant is dropping some serious stats, revealing the largest BTC exodus from exchanges in two years—because apparently, they just can’t trust the exchanges anymore.

So, surprise surprise! Bitcoin (BTC) has managed to climb back up to $94,000 after throwing a mini tantrum under $75,000 earlier this month. This surge is being totally fueled by crypto whales, the billionaires of the crypto world, who are gobbling up all the coins like they’re buying the last iPhone on sale.

Thanks to Glassnode, we now know that these big-time investors are showing their love for BTC in a very “I’m in it for the long haul” kind of way. The Accumulation Trend Score (sounds fancy, right?) is basically telling us that these whales are getting down to business. A score of 1 means they’re on the hunt, while anything close to zero means they’re sitting this one out. Spoiler alert: They’re NOT sitting this one out.

As of Thursday (you know, when the rich get richer), wallets holding over 10,000 BTC were at a solid 0.90 accumulation score. Meanwhile, the wallets with 1,000 to 10,000 BTC were casually flexing with a 0.7 score. And don’t forget the little guys—those with smaller wallets are still getting in on the action at a 0.5 score. Progress, right?

“Looks like the big players are going full throttle on this rally,” Glassnode casually tweeted (just in case you were wondering where they stand).

Meanwhile, CryptoQuant (they’re practically the CSI of crypto) reveals that BTC is fleeing centralized exchanges at a pace we haven’t seen in two years. It’s like the digital currency version of “I’m outta here!”—and guess what? It’s all about long-term holding now, people. No more letting exchanges play with your coins.

CryptoQuant’s team of sleuths say this could mean one thing: Investors are stockpiling BTC and keeping it close, like a rare Pokémon card—because why trust the exchanges when you can keep it safe in your own digital vault?
