The astrophysicist Raj Koothrappali, portrayed by Kunal Nayyar and known for his love of geek culture on the show, was deeply adored by viewers. When TVLine interviewed Nayyar about the possibility of him appearing in the spin-off, he responded, “It’s a bit early to discuss that.”

“Four years after wrapping up your series, you’re considering a comeback? That’s not a reunion, it’s simply another season,” he clarified. Unaware of rumors swirling around his potential return, he’ll wait for the possibility to materialize if it ever comes knocking.
