As a lifelong fan of Beyoncé and a witness to her extraordinary journey, I can confidently say that her performance at the Ravens-Texans game on Christmas Day was nothing short of breathtaking. Having grown up in Houston myself, it felt like a piece of our city’s soul was brought to life on that field.
On Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, Beyoncé ignited the stage during the Ravens-Texans game held in her birthplace, Houston, Texas, and her 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, played a role in making the performance exceptionally memorable.
Queen B made her entrance at the game arena upon a horse, dressed in a white gown adorned with feathers and sporting a western hat. She began her performance by entering on 16 carriages. As she dismounted her steed and walked through the stadium’s back entrance, the celebrated performer changed into a red, white, and blue sash bearing the name Cowboy Carter, which she wore while singing Blackbird.
Following her entrance, Beyoncé graced the center of the field wearing a shimmering bodysuit and chaps while performing Ya Ya. Moments later, lights displaying ‘My House’ illuminated the stands, causing a thunderous roar from the crowd as she executed Riverdance. Striding across the field lined with a marching band, Beyoncé joined forces with Shaboozy, who is a featured artist in her song Sweet Honey Buckiin.
At the spectacular gathering, it was Post Malone’s turn to perform, singing Levii’s Jeans. Following that, Beyoncé climbed aboard an old-fashioned pickup truck and sang Jolene.
As an over-the-moon fan, I couldn’t help but be captivated when the iconic pop sensation wrapped up her show with a round of Texas Hold ’Em. The cherry on top? Little Blue Ivy graced the stage to join her mom. Beyoncé paid a heartwarming tribute to her daughter during the performance, subtly altering the lyrics as she crooned, “Then twirl me right in the center, Blue, I can’t decipher your thoughts.
As an over-the-moon fan, I couldn’t help but find myself captivated as the dynamic pair showcased an intricate line dance that had me spellbound. The moment was electrifying, and then, like magic, Beyoncé ascended on a platform that unveiled a colossal banner emblazoned with “BANG,” leaving me utterly awestruck.
On the special occasion of Netflix’s first-ever NFL Christmas Game day under their NFL contract, Beyoncé showcased her performance. This was the live premiere of tracks from her recently released album, “Cowboy Carter,” which includes collaborations with artists like Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus, and others.
On December 25th, Beyoncé didn’t make her debut performance for an NFL game. Instead, in 2013, she headlined the Super Bowl Halftime Show and brought Destiny’s Child back together on stage. In 2016, she also surprised during Coldplay’s halftime show to sing Formation.
