An overview of crucial details regarding the strongest combat abilities associated with the Spear, Dual Wield, and Greatsword in The First Berserker Khazan.
This version maintains the original meaning while providing a more natural and easily understandable flow for readers.
As a fanatic of The First Berserker Khazan, I must say that its combat system is remarkably substantial, despite the seemingly scant selection of weapons. Though the arsenal only includes three distinct types, each one boasts an intricate skill tree for customization. Unlike other games where skills are mere percentage-based passive bonuses, here they’re dynamic active abilities that can be amplified through armor sets. Each weapon class possesses unique skills, significantly shaping the game’s combative dynamics.
While some abilities seem excessively strong, giving them an imbalanced feel. Determining these overpowered abilities can be challenging since they’re concealed behind certain Skill Mastery Levels. Here’s a review of the top and overpowered weapon skills in The First Berserker Khazan.
Keep in mind that the items on this list represent abilities that come inherently, and aren’t dependent on any Set Bonuses.
How To Unlock Weapon Skills in The First Berserker Khazan
After completing the initial main story quest, you’ll find yourself equipped with weapon skills. Each subsequent main story mission will grant access to higher tiers of these skills. You accumulate Skill Experience Points (Mastery Points) naturally by defeating foes and bosses, and additional points can be earned through completion of Bonus Missions. However, the maximum amount of Mastery Points you can accrue is 72 in a standard New Game. This limit vanishes once you progress to New Game+, allowing for a fully accessible skill tree with no further Mastery Point acquisition being possible due to this cap.
Nevertheless, you’ll have the opportunity to gain XP contributing to Mastery, once it’s been unlocked. This can be accomplished by finishing a primary mission or venturing into NG+. It’s important to note that many overpowering skills in The First Berserker Khazan are linked to particular armor sets. However, there are also some in the common branch that can become excessively powerful. For example, the Spear’s Trance and Phantom Heatwave abilities, as well as the Dual Wield’s skills, fall into this category.
Spear’s Overpowered Skills
Here are the most overpowered skills for the Spear:
- Trance: Trance is easily the most overpowered and broken skill in the current version of The First Berserker Khazan. It essentially allows you to chain a dash attack after another skill. However, with Trance upgraded to its maximum, you can chain this skill right after a Swift Attack. Furthermore, Trance not only saps the enemy’s stamina but also allows you to redirect yourself.
- Phantom Heatwave: Phantom Heatwave is essentially an “easy parry” ability. Activating the skill uses two Spirit nodes and allows you to automatically deflect incoming attacks.
- Spiral Thrust: The Spiral Thrust ability is a pure DPS skill. It essentially uses two Spirit nodes and lets you dish out a massive piercing attack that also knocks back the target.
Dual Wield’s Overpowered Skills
Here are the most overpowered skills for Dual Wield:
- Phantom Sword Dance: The Phantom Sword Dance is easily the most overpowered skill within the Dual Wield’s repertoire. Phantom Sword Dance essentially allows you to summon Phantoms with each Potent Blow. Mixing this skill with Whirlwind essentially makes Dual Wield an unstoppable DPS weapon.
- Ruthless: The Ruthless skill essentially allows you to stagger and stun lock an enemy while also dealing damage, all for the cost of 2 Spirit nodes. While it isn’t as powerful as Phantom Sword Dance, it does deal a ton of damage.
- Gale Smash: The Gale Smash skill essentially applies a debuff to the enemies, lowering their defenses temporarily. However, on top of the debuff, the skill also deals a massive chunk of damage via a blood explosion, which also knocks enemies back.
Greatsword’s Overpowered Skills
Here are the most overpowered skills for Greatsword:
- Phantom Night’s Veil: The Phantom Night’s Veil is quite similar to Gale Smash. However, it deals significantly more damage, at the cost of a longer wind-up animation. Furthermore, the skill also deals damage while charging, which can easily knock back smaller enemies.
- Inner Fury: Inner Fury, coupled with Phantom Night’s Veil, allows you to dish out damage using the Greatsword without giving any opening to the enemy. This skill essentially works as a catalyst for Phantom Night’s Veil, increasing the Greatsword’s charging speed and overall damage.
