
As a huge Disney fan, I have to say Disney+ is still leading the way in streaming! They really have something for everyone, from the classic animated movies I grew up with to the epic Marvel films. What’s really cool is that by 2025, they’re combining brand new movies still fresh from theaters with all those beloved older films. It just means there’s an incredible collection of amazing movies to watch whenever I want – it’s a total win for subscribers like me!
‘Moana 2’ (2024)

Moana is back for a new adventure! When her ancestors reach out, she sets sail across the ocean with a team of sailors to confront an old, powerful danger. Along the way, she’s joined by Maui, the demigod, as she works to bring the islands’ people back together. This exciting musical journey is full of beautiful animation of the Pacific Ocean and celebrates the importance of leadership and bravery.
‘Inside Out 2’ (2024)

As Riley starts her teens, she begins to feel more complicated emotions. This throws Joy and her friends into chaos when new feelings – Anxiety and Envy – show up and try to take over. The movie explores Riley’s journey as she navigates growing up and how she balances cherished childhood memories with the challenges of being a teenager. It’s a thoughtful and colorful look at mental health and how emotions develop.
‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ (2024)

Wade Wilson, known as Deadpool, is forced back into action when a dangerous threat emerges that could destroy his entire reality. He unwillingly joins forces with another version of Wolverine and together they travel across different universes to fight a formidable villain named Cassandra Nova. ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ (2024)

We see how a young, orphaned cub overcomes hardship to become a strong and determined leader, all brought to life with stunningly realistic animation of the African savanna.
‘Snow White’ (2025)

As a huge fan of classic stories, I was really excited to see this new take on Snow White. It’s a live-action version that feels fresh and updated, especially visually. The story follows the familiar plot – Snow White has to run for her life when her stepmother, the Evil Queen, tries to have her killed because she’s jealous. She ends up finding help from a really interesting group of friends in the forest, and together they start planning how she can take back her kingdom. What’s cool is they’ve added some brand new music to the film, but also kept some of the beloved songs we all know from the original animated movie.
‘Elio’ (2025)

Elio, a young boy, is unexpectedly launched into space and confused for Earth’s ambassador. He has to complete a series of challenges in front of a group of different alien species to show them that humanity is valuable. The film follows Elio’s journey of self-discovery and the friendships he makes with these alien civilizations. This new Pixar movie looks at the universe from the perspective of a child.
‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ (2024)

Years after Caesar’s rule, a young ape named Noa sets out to rescue his captured family. Along the way, he meets a human woman and discovers the long-forgotten connection between apes and humans. The film delves into how ape communities have developed and introduces Proximus Caesar, a new and ruthless leader. ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ (2023)

Okay, so ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ really delivers on the emotional front. This time, it’s a deeply personal mission for the team – saving Rocket’s life and confronting a dark history he’s been running from. Peter Quill really steps up as a leader, and we get to see the origins of what makes Rocket, well, Rocket. The movie introduces some seriously powerful new players, like the High Evolutionary and finally, Adam Warlock! Honestly, it feels like a proper goodbye to this iteration of the Guardians, beautifully highlighting the power of the family they’ve built and the chance for everyone to find redemption. It’s a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy, and I definitely shed a tear or two.
‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ (2023)

A famous archaeologist, Indiana Jones, is on a desperate quest to find a valuable artifact with the power to alter history. He joins forces with his goddaughter, Helena Shaw, to prevent a former Nazi scientist—now working with the space program—from obtaining it. Their thrilling journey takes them around the world, filled with challenging puzzles and exciting chases. This film marks the last adventure for the beloved character, offering a look back at his incredible life and career.
‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ (2022)

As she gets to know him, she sees beyond his frightening appearance and discovers the sweet, kind prince hidden within. And the castle itself is magical! All the household objects are enchanted and desperately want to see Belle and the Beast fall in love before it’s too late. It’s a beautiful story, and I was so thrilled when it became the first animated film ever nominated for the Best Picture Oscar – it absolutely deserved the recognition!

Aladdin, a poor street kid, discovers a magical lamp with a genie who will grant him three wishes. He wishes to become a prince to impress Princess Jasmine and defeat the villainous Jafar. It’s a clever way to talk about real-world problems, using this fun animal world to make you think.
